Ever since 2013, Fullwell has been designing and developing EDFA combiners adapted to short depth telecom cabinet, exploring pluggable modular architecture: pluggable power supplies, pluggable WDM optical modules and pluggable fans. By the end of 2025, we had successfully completed the development and mass production of modular, hot-swappable units for 2U, 3U, and 5U compact chassis. The EDFA are available in configurations supporting 16, 32, 64, 128, or 256 channels. Each port output optical power can be customized within a range of 10–23 dBm, with a total output power reaching up to 49 dBm (80 W). Featuring stable performance and reliable quality, the pluggable modular design facilitates customer maintenance, winning wide recognition from clients.

This EDFA combiner features a chassis depth of only 32 cm—significantly more compact than standard chassis—making it compatible with a wide range of telecom cabinets. It is designed for hybrid Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks that integrate CATV with 10G/1G optical broadband, as well as large-scale hybrid FTTH/FTTR (Fiber-to-the-Room) optical networks—supporting technologies such as CATV, GPON, XG-PON, XGS-PON, and NG-PON2. The unit effectively addresses optical communication distribution requirements in large-scale, multi-user environments while enhancing overall distribution capacity.
